My Account Is Suspended — What Do I Do?

Understanding and resolving a suspension

Why is my account suspended?

An account can be suspended for several reasons:

  • Violation of the terms of service
  • Suspected fraud or unusual activity
  • Repeated disputes or high incident rate
  • Incomplete or failed Stripe verification
  • Non-cooperation during a verification requested by Covy
  • Multiple reports from other users

Types of suspension

Temporary suspension

  • Certain features are restricted (selling, buying, bidding)
  • You can still access your account and your ongoing orders
  • The suspension is lifted once the issue is resolved

Permanent suspension (ban)

  • Account access blocked
  • Cannot create a new account
  • Pending funds may be held until ongoing disputes are resolved

What to do

  1. Check your email for a message explaining the reason
  2. Contact support@covy.app with your username
  3. Provide the requested information (ID, supporting documents)
  4. Wait for a response from the Covy team

Processing time

The Covy team reviews suspension appeals on a case-by-case basis. The timeline depends on the complexity of the situation.

Prevention

  • Follow the terms of service
  • Respond promptly to verification requests
  • Maintain a good transaction history
  • Don't create multiple accounts
