Why is my account suspended?
An account can be suspended for several reasons:
- Violation of the terms of service
- Suspected fraud or unusual activity
- Repeated disputes or high incident rate
- Incomplete or failed Stripe verification
- Non-cooperation during a verification requested by Covy
- Multiple reports from other users
Types of suspension
Temporary suspension
- Certain features are restricted (selling, buying, bidding)
- You can still access your account and your ongoing orders
- The suspension is lifted once the issue is resolved
Permanent suspension (ban)
- Account access blocked
- Cannot create a new account
- Pending funds may be held until ongoing disputes are resolved
What to do
- Check your email for a message explaining the reason
- Contact support@covy.app with your username
- Provide the requested information (ID, supporting documents)
- Wait for a response from the Covy team
Processing time
The Covy team reviews suspension appeals on a case-by-case basis. The timeline depends on the complexity of the situation.
Prevention
- Follow the terms of service
- Respond promptly to verification requests
- Maintain a good transaction history
- Don't create multiple accounts
