Our position
Covy enforces a zero tolerance policy on counterfeits. Selling counterfeit items is prohibited and constitutes a criminal offense in Switzerland.
What counts as a counterfeit
- Items bearing a brand without authorization from the rights holder
- Replicas presented as originals
- Items whose authenticity cannot be proven if challenged
What to do if you receive a counterfeit item
- Don't confirm receipt
- Take detailed photos showing signs of counterfeiting:
- Labels, logos, stitching
- Sole, materials, finishing
- Packaging (box, dust bag, certificate)
- Comparison with an original if possible
- Open a dispute from the order in the app
- Describe precisely why you believe the item is counterfeit
For sellers
- You are solely responsible for the authenticity of the items you sell
- In case of a counterfeit dispute, you will need to provide proof of authenticity (purchase invoice, certificate, receipt)
- Repeated sale of counterfeits leads to permanent account suspension
Sanctions
Covy may take immediate action without prior warning, including removal of listings, account suspension, and withholding of funds.
